Position Description:

The Director of Quality Improvement in concert with the Chief Medical Officer is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the quality improvement program which includes but not limited to developing, coordinating, and implementing quality initiatives within the health plan; initiating clinical and service performance improvement projects; monitoring of service indicators; grievance and appeals data; accessibility and availability of provider network; member and provider satisfaction; over and underutilization of services; organizational determinations; case and disease management; and delegation to other entities. The Director works closely and collaboratively with staff from different functional areas of the health plan and its parent company to achieve the goals and objectives of the QI program. 

Compensation/Benefits:

·   Up to $105,000 (DOE)

·   Sign-on and relocation (highly negotiable)

Required Skills

·   MUST have actively worked with quality improvement standards from Regulatory

   agencies.

·   Ability to facilitate and coordinate QI committees’ activities.

·   Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and administrative skills.

·   MUST be able to establish and manage an annual budget.

Experience

·   MUST have 3-5 years of RECENT experience in quality improvement within a managed care environment and/or large physician practice setting. 

·   MUST have 2-3 years managerial/supervisory experience

·   MUST have strong managerial skills.

Education

·   MUST have a minimum Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) 

·   Master of Science in Nursing, Healthcare or Business related field highly desired 

·   Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) highly desired.

·   MUST possess or acquire a Texas RN license
