Duties and Responsibilities
Upscale, top tier accounting firm seeks an Audit Senior Manager or Director with a minimum of 9+ years of public accounting experience for the Senior Manager position and a minimum of 11+ years of public accounting experience for the Director position.  The candidate should have experience in working with energy and energy related businesses (E&P a must) and have a solid SEC background.  Candidates must be results-focused, emphasizing team accountability within a culture of openness, respect, innovation, and excellence. Candidates must prove they possess the ability to effectively communicate and motivate individuals and teams to achieve high standards of productivity and quality.  Responsibilities will include all aspects of engagement oversight of audit engagement teams of two to five people and corresponding relationships of new and existing clients primarily located in the Houston market space.  Will also include the mentoring of new managers and staff.

Skills, Education and/or Experience

§  Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA required. Public accounting experience required.

§  SEC and financial statement audit experience required with a comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and auditing standards.

§  Good leadership and communications skills required with conversational English a must.

§  Must maintain required CPE credits annually.

§  Willingness to actively participate in the firm’s Practice development efforts and as a leader or member of a target pursuit team
