2/ TAX ACCOUNTANTS

CPA firm supporting high dollar clientele seeks several tax accountants to join their team.  Ideal candidate will have 2 to 10 years of experience with large individual returns (high net worth individuals).  Off shore reporting and trust and estate experience would be ideal.  Full benefits, paid parking; salary based on experience

Responsibilities:

Preparation of federal and state individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns with a variety of complexity. 

Essential Functions:

• Review tax information submitted by client for completeness.
• Prepare personal tax returns of various complexities.
• Prepare corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns.
• Prepare quarterly and annual payroll reports.
• Prepare personal tax projections through utilization of computer software.
• Drafts letters in response to tax notices.
• Assist with tax research projects.
• Prepare adjusting entries, trial balances, and other spreadsheets related to preparation of tax returns.
• Assist in preparation of all extensions and amended returns.

Required Experience and Skills:

• At least two years experience preparing individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns.
• At least one year experience using computerized tax preparation, tax planning, and tax research software.
• Ability to operate a computer, calculator and other general office equipment.
• Works with confidential client matters; requires ability to keep matters confidential.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or bachelor’s degree in another discipline with various course work in taxes and accounting, through intermediate level.
